The letter requested that a scope of work proposal for the well destruction <br /> activities be prepared and submitted within 90 days of the letter date. Prior to the site receiving <br /> regulatory agency closure, all waste materials must be removed and all wells must be destroyed <br /> in accordance with San Joaquin County and California State Well Standards. <br /> Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. (GZA) has prepared the work plan below for the destruction of <br /> eleven (11) monitoring wells, three (3) injection/sparge wells and nine (9) extraction wells (See <br /> r Figure 2 for well locations). <br /> L <br /> Well Abandonment <br /> The wells proposed for destruction are listed in Table 2 along with relevant grout volume <br /> Ccalculations based on the method used for destruction. The methods used for well destruction <br /> will follow the San Joaquin County Well Standards requirements, including: <br /> c�r <br /> 1. Wells will be destroyed by drilling out and removing all the contents of the well (conductor r <br /> casing, well casing, screen, filter pack and grout seal) in the following instances, 1lsted <br /> ow.
