The work was done by Del-
Tech Geotechnical Services as instructed by our office. There
have been a total of 13 sampling events since initiation of the
project in April, 1992; a total of 25 water level measurements
have been made during the same period_ The results of laboratory
analyzes of all water samples taken are summarized on TABLE 1 .
That table reveals that monitoring wells #2 & #3 have never shown
any BTEX or TPH-D since sampling began. Benzene has only been
measured in MW-1 in the June & September, 1993, & the January
1994 event; xylene was detected in that well only in the June,
1993 sampling. Toluene & Ethylbenzene have never been detected
in MW-1 since sampling began.
The hydraulic gradient as measured on November 21, 1994 is shown
on EXHIBIT A; it is to the north-northwest EXHIBIT B shows the
directions of all of the 25 water level measurements taken since
the beginning of the project. 13 show a gradient in a southerly
direction; 8 are to the north, 2 are to the east, and 2 are to
the west.
The average depth to groundwater as measured in 1994 is 70. 86'
bgl; -with a maximum change in levels of 2. 98' occurring between
the 5/17/94 & 10/26/94 samplings. Since monitoring began, there
has been a maximum average difference in groundwater elevations
of 4 62' .
C CONCLUSIONS:
r
Based upon all of the data collected to date, the following
conclusions appear to be valid:
1 The 25 groundwater level measurements taken to date continue
to show a divergent gradient, with no definite pattern. This is
;0
1
