January 9, 1997 - WJH submitted a report covering the above work, and requested the site be <br /> closed Refer to that report titled "Results of 11/27196 Groundwater Samphng and Request far <br /> Closure" for more details <br /> March 25, 1997 - The San Joaquin County PHS, EHD informed the owners that the Technical <br /> Review Committee had reviewed the site and would not approve site closure The EHD <br /> required an additional monitoring well to be placed on the property <br /> April 3, 1997 -WJH submitted a workplan to perform the work required <br /> April 15, 1997 - The San Joaquin Co EHD approved the workplan with modifications <br /> Sept. 4, 1997 -Monitoring well #4 was placed as shown on PLATE II. Soil & water samples <br /> revealed minor amounts of gasoline compounds, but significant levels of TEPH as diesel (See <br /> TABLES H& III details) Water samples taken in December, 1997, and March& July, 1998 <br /> from MW-1 & MW-4 showed minor amounts of TEPH as diesel, BTEX & TPHg were below <br /> detection limits The results of all water analyses are summarized on TABLE A. <br /> PROPOSED WORKPLAN: <br /> Upon receipt of approval of the workplan from the San Joaquin EHD, bids will be solicited from <br /> . qualified drilling contractors and other vendors, and a package prepared for submittal to the <br /> State Cleanup Fund for pre-approval of the work When that is received, the work will be <br /> scheduled as soon as possible Your office will be notified at least 48 hours prior to <br /> commencing operations <br /> A copy of a general health & safety plan is attached as EXHIBIT B. <br /> 1 The approximate locations of MW-5 & MW-6 are shown on PLATE H. After obtaining a <br /> drilling permit from the San Joaquin Co EHD, mobilize properly licensed auger rig equipped <br /> with sufficient hollow-stem flights to complete each soil bonnglwell without having to <br /> decontaminate augers <br /> 2 Soil sampling equipment to consist of either(a) conventional 18" split-spoon sampler, or(b) <br /> wireline operated continuous coring device At least two (2) devices will be available so that <br /> one can be cleaned while the other is in use <br /> 3 Soil samples will be taken at 5 foot intervals beginning at 20' below grade, or as indicated by <br /> field conditions Samples will be screened with a PID or similar device, those winch reveal <br /> evidence of contamination will be preserved for analysis <br /> 4 Upon reaching the water table, (anticipated to be at about 60 feet bgl,) a hydropunch or <br /> similar device will be lowered into the hole and sufficient water samples collected to allow for <br /> analysis <br /> 3 <br />
