Geobgual Teckxus/a Page 4 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 770 2 <br /> January 17,2003 <br /> A chain of custody document, listing all samples collected, accompanied the samples from <br /> field to laboratory, thereby providing a means to track their movement and insure their <br /> ' integrity <br /> All water purged from each monitoring well and not used as a sample was placed in a <br /> properly labeled 55 gallon DOT approved container and stored on site until its proper <br /> disposition can be arranged <br /> Groundwater monitoring field logs are included in Appendix C <br /> 1.3 Laboratory Analyses <br /> The groundwater samples collected on September 13 & 17, 2002, were delivered to <br /> Sherwood Lab (Department of Health Services Certification No 1400), of Hilmar, <br /> California, for analysis <br /> Sherwood analyzed the seven monitoring well groundwater samples for <br /> o Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene, and Xylene (BTEX)by EPA method 8020 <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 5030/8015(M) <br /> e TEPH- Diesel and Motor Oil by EPA method 350018100(M) <br /> The detection limits for the above analyses are listed in Table 3 of Appendix A while the lab <br /> analytical results are presented in Appendix B <br /> ' As required under A132886, the laboratory data was submitted electronically to GeoTracker <br /> on October 2, 2002 - confirmation numbers 7160516440 & 9343186020 <br /> ' 2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br /> The results of the groundwater sample analysis indicate the following <br /> • Diesel range petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in five of the site's eleven ' <br /> ' monitoring wells vM,�,13�0� Y <br /> 6 Well MW-5 contained 67rO 4g/l diesel and remains the most hi hly Iimpacted well <br /> to <br /> Minor BTEX constituents are present at levels ranging from — µ`9� in wells MW- <br /> 4, MW-6 and MW-7 <br /> a Motor oil range petroleum hydrocarbons were not present in any of the groundwater <br /> samples at concentrations above the laboratory reporting limits i <br /> r • TPH-G was not present in any of the groundwater samples at concentrations above the <br /> laboratory reporting limits In the past, four of the wells contained TPH-G for the <br /> September 2001 event only MW-1, 4, 6, & 105 <br />
