Water level measurements were taken in MW 42 3`
& -#3, but water; samples were not collected. The results of the
laboratory and ysi s reveals that all tested substanceis were below
detection levels.
We have also included an updated exhibit showing the direction of
hydraulic gradients as indicated by the four water level measure-
ments taken. toi'pdatey. That data indicates the direction of flow +
has changed again from a southerly direction, (9/15/92, ) to due
north, (12/20/92 data, ) The current gradient as measured places
MW #1 downgradient from the site of the removed UST'st the water
samples taken during that measurement did not reveal any
contamination.
The reason forithis frequent change in gradient is not known, but
is fairly common in this area. It appears' that the placement of
one or more additional monitoring wells isnot warranted at this
time. We recommend that the quarterly monitoring be continued at '
least until sufficient data is available to indicate some concis-
-tency in the direction of the hydraulic gradient.
Yours rul „
Willi Hunter,
us. hunter Associates
incl : i
ti cc: John Marci ii
i
I
i
