Fuller Mobile Home Park
365 East Louise, Lathrop, California February 26, 1997
Receptor Survey Page: 4
California and Federal Governments have mandated that virtually all groundwater is
beneficial for current or future use unless it can be demonstrated that no beneficial use
is known.
This aquifer is considered to be of beneficial use and as a result, must be protected
from contamination. Those identified uses include agriculture and industrial, as well as
potential use for animal or human consumption.
3.2 Receptors
The following agencies were contacted in effort to discover locations of any receptors
within two thousand feet of the site; the City of Lathrop Public Works, San Joaquin
County Environmental Health, and the State of California, Department of Water
Resources. Several private individuals and businesses were also consulted concerning
their public facilities.
The only public receptors within the two thousand foot radii that would be affected by
the groundwater contamination at the subject property are the improvements installed
for the City of Lathrop. These improvements include the domestic water system, the
sanitary system and the storm drain system which are located within the two thousand
foot radius of the subject property. These facilities can be seen in Appendix B.
There are some private well facilities within two thousand feet to the west and
northwest. These facilities are private domestic wells. All of the property with these
domestic wells are "For Sale" at this time and are zoned commercial. All of these
facilities will be abandoned upon purchase by new owners and developed into
commercial properties. It is anticipated that this will happen within 24 months on all
of the property sites. The gradient from the subject property has not demonstrated a
trend toward these facilities in the last three years. The City has studied groundwater
gradients due to well pumping within the City and all of those gradients are
predominantly to the northeast, see Appendix C.
LThe latest domestic water quality testing done by the City of Lathrop is attached in
Appendix D. This publication indicates the water meets or exceeds all State and
Federal drinking water regulations.
-
