(Quik Stop)requests permission to enter your property described above
and install a groundwater monitoring well at the location indicated on the enclosed site map.
Quik Stop is currently investigating groundwater conditions at and around its Market#121,
located at 1196 West Louise Avenue, Manteca. San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division, has approved a work plan to further define the:lateral and
vertical extent groundwater contamination associated with Quik Stop's underground storage
tanks. The work plan includes a proposed monitoring well placed in the parking lot near the
northeast corner of your property. The well will be 2-inches in diameter and extend to 25 feet
depth. Upon completion, the well will be flush with the surface.in a secured vault box. All drill
cuttings.and equipment will be removed, fromthe, site and the area,around.the-_well.wili.be_
returned to its original condition. Drilling activity is anticipated to take one to two days to
complete.
An access agreement is necessary for the purpose of installing the monitoring well, periodic
gauging, sampling, inspection, maintenance, and eventual removal of the monitoring well. Once
the well is installed and initial groundwater samples taken, routine sampling of the monitoring
well is expected to be required once each quarter. Drilling and sampling phases are not expected
to interfere with business activities.
Quik Stop shall-at all times comply fully with all-applicable laws, ordinances;rules, and
regulations of any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the property. Quik Stop shall'-
undertake all activities under this agreement at its sole cost and expense.
I
