'As we <br /> discussed,-Compliance.&Closure, Inc..(CCI), on,behalf of Quik Stop Markets,Inc. (Quik Stop), <br /> is requesting permission to.drill and install two groundwater monitoring wells in the landscape. <br /> area along the northeast side of the church property located at 1050 Union Avenue in the City of <br /> Manteca, California. <br /> CCI is currently investigating groundwater conditions at the Quik Stop Market, located at 1196 <br /> West Louis Avenue; Manteca, California. The San Joaquin County, Environmental Health <br /> Division is requesting that additional monitoring wells be installed down-gradient of the subject <br /> site. CCI proposes to drill and install two monitoring wells on the church property. The two <br /> wells would be placed in the landscape area along the parking-,lot on the northeast side of the <br /> property. The wells would be approximately 2-inches in diameter and will extend to depths of 25 <br /> and 42 feet. Upon completion,the wells will be flush with the surface in a secured vault box. <br /> All drill cuttings and equipment will be removed from the site and the area around the wells will <br /> be returned to its original condition. It is anticipated that the drilling activity will take one to two <br /> days to complete. <br /> Quik Stop Markets agrees to defend, indemnify,and hold harmless the church from any da_mages <br /> or liabilities arising out.of CCI's performance of the work contemplated herein. . <br /> CCI does not expect to interfere with church activities. Groundwater samples will be collected <br /> .from-the monitoring wells on a quarterly basis. CCI appreciates your cooperation in this matter. <br /> CCI would'be happy to meet with you at church property to discuss the proposed activities. <br /> Recyclable and made from recycled paper. <br />
