7020 Koll Center Parkway, Suite 134, Pleasanton, CA 94566-3107 (925] 426-5395 FAX (925) 426-5391 <br /> • <br /> Compliance <br /> CA <br /> Closure, Inc. <br /> October 17, 2002 <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> PubItc Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Attention Ms Lori Duncan <br /> Subject Fourth Quarter 2002 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Quik Stop No 121 <br /> 1196 West Louise Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> (CCI Project No 12118-2) <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Compliance & Closure, Inc (CCI) is pleased to present the Fourth Quarter 2002 Groundwater <br /> Monitoring Report for sampling ten of the thirteen on and off-site groundwater monitoring wells <br /> at Quik Stop Market No 121, located at 1196 West Louise Avenue in the City of Manteca, San <br /> Joaquin County, California(Figure 1) CCI completed the well sampling in accordance wlth <br /> requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> (County) on October 8, 2002 Shallow monitoring wells MW-1, MW-7 and MW-8, located on <br /> the north, east and south sides of the Quik Stop Market, were found to be dry this quarter <br /> Site activities conducted during the past three months included implementing the corrective <br /> action plan During late July and early August 2002, CCI installed the KVA ozone injection <br /> Y <br /> system (System) at the site (Figure 2), which began operating full time on August 2, 2002 <br /> During the month of August, on August 16 and August 29, 2002, CCI monitored the 'site by <br /> collecting groundwater samples from the site wells The water samples were analy"zed for <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel oxygenates and groundwater parameters, including dissolved <br /> oxygen The groundwater data collected during the month of August and the,tnost recent <br /> October data suggest the System is beginning to have a positive impact,on groun6vater <br /> conditions at the site The results of the monitoring are included'in this report <br /> { <br /> The fourth quarter groundwater samples collected on October 8, 2002 were analyzed for'total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and tot�41 xylenes <br /> (BTEX) and fuel oxygenates In addition, three wells were sampled for acetone acid <br /> Recyclable and made from recycled paper <br />
