Compliance <br /> Closure, Inc. <br /> APR 2 9 2002 <br /> April 22, 2002 <br /> ENVIROIN'n NI C FEE ALTH <br /> PERMIT/SL FMk-iES <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Attention Ms Lori Duncan <br /> Subject Second Quarter 2002 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Quik Stop No 121 <br /> 1196 West Louise Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> (CCI Project No 12118-2) <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Compliance & Closure, Inc (CCI) is pleased to present the Second Quarter 2002 Groundwater <br /> Monitoring Report for the sampling of thirteen on and off-site groundwater monitoring wells at <br /> Quik Stop Market No 121, located at 1196 West Louise Avenue in the City of Manteca, San <br /> Joaquin County, California(Figure 1) CCI completed the well sampling in accordance with <br /> requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> (County) on April 9, 2002 Shallow monitoring wells MW-8 and MW-12, located on the south <br /> side of the Quik Stop Market and on the northwest corner of West Louise Avenue and Union <br /> Avenue (Figure 2), were both found to have measurable water this quarter The wells were <br /> sampled and the data are included in this report <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the thirteen wells in accordance with CCI's <br /> Groundwater Sampling Protocol (Appendix A) The groundwater purged fiom each well and <br /> equipment rinse water were placed in an on-site holding tank A summary of the groundwater <br /> purge data are presented in Table 1 <br /> Groundwater Sampling <br /> On April 9, 2002, CCI sampled thirteen wells for the quarterly sample round Prior to <br /> groundwater sampling, CCI measured the depth to groundwater using an electronic sounding <br /> tape and field-checked the wells for the presence of free-floating product by collecting a sample <br /> in a clear acrylic bailer Free-floating product was not observed, however slight product odor <br /> Recyclable and made from recycled paper <br />
