1 15 Blnchhawk Plaza Circle Suite 100, Danville, CA 94506 (925) 648-2008 Fax (925) 648-2797 <br /> \Y • <br /> Compliance <br /> L Closure, Inc <br /> July 14, 2004 <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Attention Ms Lori Duncan <br /> Subject Third Quarter 2004 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Quik Stop No 121 <br /> 1196 West Louise Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> (CCI Project No 12118-2) <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Compliance & Closure, Inc (CCI) is pleased to submit the Third Quarter 2004 Groundwater <br /> Monitoring Report for the sampling of the thirteen on and off-site groundwater monitoring wells <br /> at Quik Stop Market No 121, located at 1196 West Louise Avenue in the City of Manteca, San. <br /> Joaquin County, California(Figure 1) CCI completed the well sampling on July 1, 2004, in <br /> accordance with the requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (County) <br /> During the past three months, the water level in the shallow aquifer at the site has dropped <br /> approximately 5 feet, therefore CCI was able to collect groundwater samples from only 9 of the <br /> 13 wells this quarter CCI has monitored the operation of the KVA C-Sparge system (System) <br /> on a bi-monthly basis to insure proper operation For the three months ending on July 1, 2004, <br /> the System has operated a total of 415 hours, and since it began operating full time on August 2, <br /> 2002, it has operated a total of 7,165 hours Once again, the System has been shutting down due <br /> to electrical problems The groundwater data collected during July continue to show the <br /> groundwater contamination being reduced to the immediate area around monitoring well RW-I <br /> The results of the monitoring are included in this report <br /> The third quarter groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) and fuel oxygenates <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the site wells in accordance with COI's Groundwater <br /> Sampling Protocol (Appendix A) The groundwater purged from each well and equipment rinse <br /> water were placed in a 55-gallon drum and left at the site A summary of the groundwater purge <br />
