Inc <br /> January 23, 2004 <br /> RE"MY[EED <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Seivices, Environmental Health Division FEB 0 2 2004 <br /> 304 E Weber Avenue 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Attention Ms Loi i Duncan <br /> Subject First Quarter 2004 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Quik Stop No 121 <br /> 1196 West Louise Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> (CCI Project No 12118-2) <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Compliance & Closure, Inc (CCI) is pleased to submit the First Quarter 2004 Groundwater <br /> Monitoring Report for the sampling of the thirteen on and off-site groundwater monitoring wells <br /> at Quik Stop Market No 121, located at 1196 West Louise Avenue in the City of Manteca, San <br /> Joaquin County, California(Figure 1) CCI completed the well sampling on January 13, 2004, in <br /> accordance with the requirentents of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental I lealth Division (County) During the past three months, the water level in the <br /> shallow aquifer at the site ha, risen slightly, therefore CCI was able to collect groundwater <br /> samples from twelve of the thirteen wells this quarter CCI has monitoied the operation of the <br /> KVA C-Sparge ,ystein (Sy,3t,-m) on a bi-monthly basis to insure propel operation For the thice <br /> months ending on January 1-',, 2004, the System has operated a total of l74 hours, and since it <br /> began operating lull time on August 2, 2002, it has operated atotal of 5,795 hours The System <br /> has been slnuttin;; down due lo electrical problems New parts have been ordered and the <br /> problem should be corrected in the next few weeks The groundwater data collected during <br /> Januaiy,however, continues to suggest the System is having a very positive impact on <br /> groundwater conditions at th,,, site The results of the monitoring are included in this report <br /> The First quartet groundwatc r samples collected on January 13, 2004 were analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene,ethyll cnzene and total xylenes <br /> (13TEX) and fuel oxygenates Groundwater samples were collected fiom the site wells in <br /> accordance with CCI's Groundwater Sampling Protocol (Appendix A) The groundwater purged <br /> from each well rind equipment rinse water were placed in a 55-gallon dium and,left at the site A <br /> . summary of the groundwater purge data is presented to Table 1 <br />
