Quik Stop Market No 121 <br /> CCI Project No 12118-2 <br /> Page 3 <br /> On September 22, 2000, CCT contracted Industrial Waste Utilization (IWU) of San Jose, California <br /> to pump water from the well Prior to pumping, CCI collected a water sample from MW-3 for <br /> laboratory analysis IWU pumped a total of 400 gallons of water from the well It should be noted, <br /> the water table was relatively low and the well was dewatering during pumping The water was <br /> transported to Seaport Environmental, located in Redwood City, California for proper disposal <br /> The laboratory(North State Environmental, located in South San Francisco, California) reported the <br /> water sample colleted from MW-3 prior to pumping contained 6,200 ug/1 TPHg , 52 ug/l benzene <br /> and 140,000 ug/l MTBE As previously mentioned, the water sample collected from the well on <br /> October 5, 2000 was reported to have 800 ug/l TPHg and 110,000 ug/l MTBE No BTEX <br /> compounds were detected in the October 5th sample A copy of the Iaboratory report for the <br /> September 22, 2000 sampling of MW-3 is attached in Appendix B <br /> CCI recently submitted a Work Plan to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division, for Additional Well Installations at and near by the subject site <br /> Upon the San Joaquin County's approval of the addendum to the Work Plan and CCI obtaining <br /> approval from adjacent property owners for access, CC1 will conduct that investigation during the <br /> current quarter CCI will continue to monitor the site on a quarterly basis to gather additional <br /> groundwater quality data at the site The next quarterly sample round is scheduled for January 2001 <br /> Limitations <br /> The discussion presented in this report is based on the following <br /> 1 The observations of the field personnel, <br /> 2 The results of the laboratory analyses performed by a state certified laboratory, <br /> 3 Our understanding of the regulations of the State of California and San Joaquin <br /> County <br /> It is possible that variations in the soil or groundwater conditions could exist beyond the points <br /> explored in this investigation Also, changes in groundwater conditions could occur at some time <br /> in the future due to variations in rainfall, temperature, regional water usage, or other factors <br /> The services performed by CCI have been conducted in a manner consistent with the level of care <br /> and skill ordinarily exercised by members of our profession currently practicing under similar <br /> conditions in the Manteca area No other warranty, express or implied, is made Please note that <br /> contamination of soil and groundwater must be reported to the appropriate agencies in a timely <br /> •� manner <br /> CCI includes in this report chemical analytical data from a state-certified laboratory CCI has been <br /> informed that the analyses are performed according to procedures suggested by the U S EPA and <br />
