• Quip Stop No 121 <br /> Additional On-Site and Offsite Soil and Groundwater Investigation <br /> Page 7 <br /> Groundwater in the vicinity of monitoring well MW-3 continues to have the highest contaminant <br /> concentrations at the subject site It appears some MTBE has migrated to a lower portion of the <br /> aquifer, at a depth of 35 to 38 feet, as detected in the water sample collected at CPT-1 In <br /> addition, the water sample collected from CPT-1 was also reported to have low concentrations of <br /> tetrachloroethene, which is a widely used dry cleaning solvent The source of the <br /> tetrachloroethene is not known No petroleum hydrocarbon contamination was detected from the <br /> two water samples collected at CPT-2,which was located 325 feet southeast of the site, in the <br /> direction of the City of Manteca municipal well No 15 <br /> A copy of this report should be forwarded to the following agency in a timely manner <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Attention Ms Lori Duncan <br /> Limitations <br /> The discussions presented in this report are based upon the following <br /> 1 Exploratory test borings drilled at and around the site, <br /> 2 Observations by the field personnel, <br /> 3 Results of laboratory analyses performed by a state-certified <br /> laboratory, <br /> 4 Our understanding of the regulations of the state of California, and the City of Manteca <br /> and San Joaquin County <br /> It is possible that variations in the soil or groundwater conditions could exist beyond the points <br /> explored in this investigation Also, changes in the groundwater conditions could <br /> occur at some time in the future because of variations in rainfall, temperature, regional water <br /> usage, or other factors <br /> The services performed by CCI have been conducted in a manner consistent with the level of <br /> care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of our profession currently practicing under <br /> . similar conditions in the San Joaquin County area Please note that contamination of soil and <br /> groundwater must be reported to the appropriate agencies in a timely manner No other warranty, <br /> express or implied, is made <br />
