Work to be Performed <br /> TASK 2: Soil Boring and Monitoring Well Installation and <br /> Sampling <br /> A. Obtain permits and drill a minimum of six (6) soil borings and <br /> complete three (3) of them as two inch monitoring wells. <br /> B. Collect soil samples at five foot intervals for geological <br /> interpretation and laboratory analysis (as needed). Deliver all soil <br /> samples, under chain of custody, to an analytical laboratory licensed by <br /> the State of California for hazardous materials work. The samples shall <br /> be analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (diesel and gasoline) <br /> and BTX&E (Benzene. Toluene. Xylene, and Ethyl Benzene). <br /> C. Survey well elevation and develop the monitoring wells by <br /> pumping and surge blocking, if required. Containerize all development <br /> water in DOT approved 55 gallon drums. <br /> D. Purge the monitoring wells (containerize purged water in 55 <br /> gallon drums), measure the depth to groundwater (before and after <br /> recovery), and sample the groundwater for laboratory analysis. Deliver <br /> all water samples, under chain of custody with appropriate travel <br /> blanks, to an analytical laboratory licensed by the State of California for <br /> hazardous materials work. The samples shall be analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons (diesel and gasoline) and BTX&E (Benzene, <br /> Toluene, Xylene, and Ethyl Benzene). <br /> Bidder's Initials Date <br />
