'PaZZMA <br /> �..i Working To Restore Nature <br /> WORKPLAN FOR-ASSESSMENT OF <br /> CONTAMINATED SOIL AND GROUNDWATER <br /> AT <br /> IL <br /> MANTECA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> 2901 EAST LOUISE AVENUE <br /> LATHROP, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION j <br /> f At the request of the Manteca Unified School District (MUSD)., RESNA Industries Inc. <br /> (RESNA) has prepared this workplan for assessment of contaminated soil and groundwater. <br /> r- This workplan summarizes previous work and describes the project tasks and field methods <br /> Lr which will be utilized to select a remedial method for the contaminated soil stockpiled on-site, <br /> to further define the extent of soil contamination and to investigate possible groundwater j <br /> impact at the site. The subject site is located at 2901 East Louise Avenue, Lathrop, <br /> California. <br /> This workplan was initiated pursuant to correspondence from San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services, Environmental Health -Division (PHS/EHD) dated December 20, 1993. <br /> PHS/EHD recommended remediation of contaminated soil and assessment of soil impact in the <br /> vicinity of the former tank and definition of possible impact to groundwater at the subject site. <br /> This report outlinesprocedures and practices to be utilized during field investigations. Field <br /> tasks described in this report will be performed in accordance with the site Quality <br /> Assurance/Quality Control Plan (Appendix I) and the site specific Health and Safety Plan <br /> (Appendix II). <br /> 1.1 Site Location <br /> The Manteca Unified School District Administration Office, Transportation Depot, and <br /> Agriculture Laboratory are located at 2901 East Louise Avenue, Lathrop, California (Plate 1). <br /> The area of investigation, the former tank location, is located near the Instructional Materials <br /> Center., adjacent to the bus parking and north of the Administration Office buildings. The <br /> stockpiled soils are located at the northeastern corner of the site (Appendix III contains a soil <br /> Lpile location map). <br /> 1 j <br /> I <br />
