Li Working To Restore Nature
LThe monitoring wells will be constructed of 2-inch inside diameter PVC well screen/casing.
The wells will be completed as shown on Plate 4 with a 0.020 inch well screen slot and #3
mesh sand pack. Neat cement will be used to seal the wells, in accordance with California
Water Well Standards (December 1981). To protect the integrity of the wells, a locking,
water-tight well plug will be installed on each well and a water-tight, locking wellbox labeled
"monitoring well" will be concreted over each well.
4 After installation the wellheads will be surveyed vertically and horizontally to a common
_ datum. Depth-to-water readings will be used to determine the groundwater flow direction
Lbeneath the project site.
2.1.2 Groundwater Sampling and Analysis Methods
Subsequent to installation the wells will be monitored for freeP roduct. The wells will then be
developed in accordance with the QA/QC Plan (Appendix I). Water samples will be collected j
after, purging a minimum of three well volumes (casing and sandpack). The water samples
will be analyzed by Sequoia Analytical Laboratory for BTEX (EPA Method 8020) and TPHg
Land TPHd (EPA Method 8015).
LAll isite activities involving potential contact with hazardous materials associated with this
investigation will be conducted in accordance with the site Health and Safety Plan (Appendix
LI 2_2 Stockpiled Soil Remediation Assessment
To Lcollect the necessary information to develop a remediation plan for the stockpiled
excavation soil the following scope of work will be performed:
LA minimum of eight soil samples (four sleeves each) will be collected from the stockpiled soil
-pile. The samples will be submitted to Sequoia Analytical Laboratory in Redwood City
(ELAP no. 1210) for compositing and analysis for BTEX, TPHg, and TPHd. by EPA methods
8020, and 5030/8015 respectively. The samples will also be analyzed for the inorganic
compounds Phosphorus (P), Potassium OQ, Nitrogen N, and bacterial plate count.
L
5
L
