Soil Remediation Proposal Addendum <br /> 651 South Mac Arthur Blvd. <br /> June 8, 1990 <br /> Page 2 <br /> III. Proposed Remediation Workplan: <br /> A. Request For Variance <br /> American Transit Mix Co. is requesting that a variance be <br /> granted to transport the soil to our Aggregate Plant located <br /> at .30350 S. Tracy -Blvd. , Tracy. The soil shall be transported <br /> by RMC Lonestar or a contractor working for RMC Lonestar using <br /> aIvariance obtained by the SJC PHS/EHD. <br /> B. Soil Remediation < <br /> American Transit Mix will lay down' a 20' x 20' area of plastic <br /> sheeting where the soil will be placed when it arrives at the <br /> site. The sides will be berme.d (see attachments Figure 2) to <br /> prevent any possible leaching of the contaminants to the <br /> ground in the event of rain. The soil ,.shall be spread evenly <br /> on the plastic and allowed to aerate in accordance with the <br /> San Joaquin County APCD ruling on uncontrolled aeration of <br /> gasoline contaminated soil. A copy of the permit application <br /> will be sent to the SJC PHS/EHD;. <br /> C. Final Disposition of Soil �� <br /> After the soil has been allowed` to aerate four discrete soil <br /> samples will be collected from the -soil remediation pile and <br /> analyzed by a state certified using .EPA,methods 5030 for TPH <br /> G, 8020 for BTX&E, and 3550 for TPH D. Notification will be <br /> made to the SJC PHS/EHD prior to any sampling. Analytic <br /> results will be sent to the SJC PHS/EHD. <br /> After it has been determined that the levels -of contamination <br /> are below the state action levels of 100 ppm and approval by <br /> the SJC PHS/EHD has been granted., American. Transit Mix Co. <br /> will mix the soil at a 10 to l ratio into RMC Lonestar's <br /> aggregate base rock material which will be used for road <br /> fill. A final report confirming our actions shall be <br /> submitted to the SJC PHS/EHD for record. <br /> t <br /> i <br /> I <br />
