Summary of Preliminary Findings:
On January 7.5, 1990 Pratt Consulting Company (PCC) performed
the excavation, sample collecting and analysis, and
backfilling of the contaminated soil area at 651 South
MacArthur Blvd. , Tracy California. Using a Photovac 7.0550
portable gas chromatograph to detect the
present.; of
hydrocarbons, all of the contaminated soil was removed from
the area where the tanks had been located. Soil samples were
taken to and transported; using chain of custody, to a State
certified laboratory far analysis to verify that all of the
contaminated soil had been removed from the tank excavation.
Analytical results of the soil samples can be found in
Attachment 1 page 7, these samples are identified as N-1., s-1, j
E-1, W-1. Approximately sixteen yards of contaminated soil
r was placed on plastic sheeting and covered. The1:=s4rLx
Ground water was encountered at 7.2.5 feet below grade, a water
t.
A sample GW-1 was taken and brought to a state certified
laboratory for analysis. Results from the water sample are as
follows:
} q Ethyl Total
Sample Gasoline Diesel Benzene Toluene Benzene Xylenes
E
I.D.
