(Ground Zero) is submitting this report on behalf of Manteca Equipment <br /> Rental to summarize the methods and results of the subsurface investigation at the subject site. <br /> j 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to define the lateral and vertical limits of any residual .soil <br /> contamination related to the former underground storage tanks (UST's), and to determine if <br /> groundwater had been affected by the release. The work was performed in accordance with the <br /> approved workplan dated July 30, 1999. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> t <br /> 1 <br /> 2.1 Site Description <br /> On December 18, 1990, two 500 gallon UST's utilized for the storage of gasoline and diesel fuel were <br /> removed from the site (Figure 2). According to the PHS/EHD inspection report, no petroleum <br />
