Tracy Aggregate
Plant, 29099 South McArthur Lane, Tracy, California.
Mr Takemori
. At the request of A Teichert & Son, Inc. (Teichert), RESNA Industries (RESNA) is
conducting an environmental investigation at the subject site (shown on Plate 1) Work
conducted during this reporting period included drilling three soil borings, installing three
groundwater monitoring wells, measuring depths to water, collecting and analyzing soil and
water samples, and performing groundwater monitoring The purpose of this work was to
evaluate the geology and hydrogeology beneath the site, to evaluate the lateral and vertical
extent of hydrocarbons in soil, and to further evaluate hydrocarbons in groundwater
BACKGROUND
According to information supplied by Tetchert (LBME Corporation, October 1, 1988),
Teichert removed two 1,000-gallon underground gasoline tanks in March 1987 The
approximate locations of the present site features are shown on the Generalized Site Plan
(Plate 2) Laboratory analyses of soil samples collected from the base of the tank cavity
indicated that residual hydrocarbons were present
10 In July 1987, LBME Corporation of Sacramento, California, drilled three soil borings and
installed one monitoring well in one of the borings (MW-1/BH-1) Results of analyses of
soil samples collected between 20 and 35 feet below grade indicated that hydrocarbon
concentrations(quantified as total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline [TPHg])ranged from
below laboratory detection limits to 34 parts per million Hydrocarbons have not been
identified in groundwater samples collected from the monitoring well with the exception of
0803gtak
123009-1
