(Teichert), RESNA Industries (RESNA) is <br /> conducting an environmental investigation at the subject site (shown on Plate 1) Work <br /> conducted during this reporting period included drilling three soil borings, installing three <br /> groundwater monitoring wells, measuring depths to water, collecting and analyzing soil and <br /> water samples, and performing groundwater monitoring The purpose of this work was to <br /> evaluate the geology and hydrogeology beneath the site, to evaluate the lateral and vertical <br /> extent of hydrocarbons in soil, and to further evaluate hydrocarbons in groundwater <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> According to information supplied by Tetchert (LBME Corporation, October 1, 1988), <br /> Teichert removed two 1,000-gallon underground gasoline tanks in March 1987 The <br /> approximate locations of the present site features are shown on the Generalized Site Plan <br /> (Plate 2) Laboratory analyses of soil samples collected from the base of the tank cavity <br /> indicated that residual hydrocarbons were present <br /> 10 In July 1987, LBME Corporation of Sacramento, California, drilled three soil borings and <br /> installed one monitoring well in one of the borings (MW-1/BH-1) Results of analyses of <br /> soil samples collected between 20 and 35 feet below grade indicated that hydrocarbon <br /> concentrations(quantified as total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline [TPHg])ranged from <br /> below laboratory detection limits to 34 parts per million Hydrocarbons have not been <br /> identified in groundwater samples collected from the monitoring well with the exception of <br /> 0803gtak <br /> 123009-1 <br />
