The letter states that soil results from the recent tank removal exceed the <br /> maximum allowable limits of leaching potential as recommended by the LUFT Manual. This <br /> letter is referring to the slant borings which were drilled beneath Tank #3 on May 1, 1991. <br /> Product piping from Tank #3 was not investigated as part of the incomplete closure in place <br /> investigation which occurred May 1, 1991. j <br /> I <br /> PHS/EHD recommends that a new workplan be submitted to this department. The workplan <br /> should describe a method to determine the lateral and vertical extent of contamination around <br /> and beneath Tank #3. The workplan should also address the piping from Tank #3 to the boiler <br /> building. <br /> Please submit the workplan within.30 days of the date of this letter.
