14 March 2006
• AGE-NC Project No 01-0886
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 200 micrograms per liter(µg11)
' and 140 µg/l, respectively
The fuel additives MTBE and 1,2-DCA were detected during the fourth quarter monitoring event,
MTBE was detected in wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 at concentrations of 59 gg/l, 5 7 gg/l, and
84 gg/l, respectively, and 1,2-DCA was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of
120 pg/1 and 16 gg/l,respectively The estimated distributions of dissolved MTBE and 1,2-DCA are
' Illustrated on Figures 4 and 5, respectively
J r
 11-at
No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in the ground water samples
analyzed The analytical results of the ground water samples collected on f1AVt(!AU005 are
summarized in Table 2 The laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-0508064), quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) report, and chain of custody form are Included In Appendix C
Documents confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format(EDF)files and depth
to water measurements to GeoTracker are included In Appendix D
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
' • At the time of the December 2005 sampling event, depths to ground water ranged from
65 70 feet to 66 25 feet below the tops of the well casings Ground water elevation at the site
ranged from 35 39 feet to 35 63 feet below MSL, and averaged approximately 35 51 feet
below MSL, indicating an increase in elevation of approximately 0 06 feet since the last
ground water monitoring event in August 2005
• Ground water at the site was Inferred to be flowing toward the east-northeast under a
hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 005 ft/ft
• TPH-g was detected In wells MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 200 gg/l and 140 pg/1,
respectively BTEX compounds were not detected in the ground water samples, therefore,
the detections of TPH-g are likely isolated fuel additives and not true petroleum
hydrocarbons and most of the detected concentrations of TPH-g consists of the MTBE and
 _1,2-DCA components__ V
• MTBE was detected in wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 at concentrations of 59 gg/l,
' 5 7 pg/l, and 84 gg/l, respectively, 1,2-DCA was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-3 at
concentrations of 120 pg/l and 16 µg11, respectively a
•
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
