' 28 July 2005
AGE-NC Project No 01-0886
' 3 3 GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
At the time of the May 2005 sampling event, depths to ground water ranged from 64 16 feet(MW-3)
' to 65 56 feet(MW-2)below the tops of the well casings Ground water elevation at the site ranged
from 33 87 feet(MW-3)to 34 90 feet(MW-1)below MSL, and averaged approximately 34 49 feet
below MSL(Table 1) During this monitoring event, the ground water levels in all three wells were
' within the screened intervals, indicating that the wells are properly screened to yield ground water
samples representative of shallow ground water conditions
' Ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing toward the south-southeast under a hydraulic
gradient of approximately 0 015 foot/foot (ft/ft) Figure 5 illustrates the contoured ground water
elevations as measured on 17 May 2005 -
3 4 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH- was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 100 micrograms per liter 1
g g p (p )
' and 200 pg/l, respectively MTBE was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of
55 pg/l and 15 pg/l,respectively
' 1,2-DCA was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 28 pg/1 and 190 pg/l,
respectively Xylenes were detected in well MW-3 at a concentration of 23 pg/l
' No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in the ground ester samples
analyzed The analytical results of the ground water samples collected on 4-1 -,Wril 2005 are
summarized in Table 3 The laboratory report(CTEL Project No CT214-0505193),QA/QC report,
' and chain of custody form are included in Appendix G
' 4.0. SUNEVIARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
• In general, silt and clayey silt were encountered from surface grade to 50 feet bsg in MW-1,
67 feet bsg in MW-2, and 77 feet in MW-3, underlain by alternating layers of silty sand,
' - - - sandy silt, sand, silt, and clayey silt to the total depths of the borings(80 feet to 85 feet bsg) -
• A total of thirteen soil samples were analyzed for the constituents listed in Section 2 1 1 No
analytes were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in the soil samples analyzed
• At the time of the May 2005 sampling event, depths to ground water ranged from 64 16 feet
' Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc
1
