The results of
these soil samples were referenced in tables of consultant reports only (i.e. CAI'report of 1997 by OST). Soil samples with
highest contamination concentration were from monitoring wells installed by BEI in 1989 in the area of the former tank pit.
Analytical results were largely non-detect oi.minimal in the step-out wells installed.by SRK in 1991 and Park in 1996. No soil
samples were taken after the remediation' system was shut down in 2000. Approximately 620 pounds of TPH-g were
recovered from about 84.2 million cubic feet of soil vapor, and 500 pounds of TPH-g and 18 pounds of benzene were.
recovered from about 6 million gallons of extracted groundwater after 2 years of remediation. The contamination plume is
stable and reducing in size and concentration. Beneficial uses of groundwater are protected, now and in the future.
IV.
