Ile <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 650 Management Corporation (Client) has retained The Park Corporation (Park) to perform <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring at the former Diamond Lumber site located at 151 South Main <br /> Street, Manteca, California The location of the site and the various well locations, are shown on <br />' Figures 1 and 2 The work performed and described in this report has been mandated by the Iead <br /> agency, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (County), <br /> and was performed in accordance with the workplan dated May 24, 1994 and supplemented <br />' January 13, 1995, which was approved by the County <br /> 1.1 Scope of Work <br />' <br /> Specific tasks completed by Park dunng the groundwater m rutonn <br /> g program included the <br /> following <br /> 1 <br /> • Locate and measure depths to groundwater in all the wells, <br /> tPurge a minimum of three well volumes of groundwater from each of the wells <br /> (BEI-MW1, BEI-MW2, BEI-MW3, SRK-MW1, SRK-MW2, SRK-MW3, MW-7, <br /> and MW-8) until pH, temperature and electrical conductivity values were within <br /> 10 percent, <br /> ' . Collect groundwater samples from all existing wells, <br /> • Analyze water samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH G) and <br /> ' benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), using EPA Methods <br /> 8015 Modified and 602, respectively, and <br /> • Prepare this "First Quarter, 1997, Groundwater Monitoring Report" (QMR) for <br /> presentation to the County <br /> ' The County was notified that the sampling date was March 28, 1997 A County representative <br /> was not present during sampling activities <br /> ' 2.0 GROUNDWATER <br /> MONITORING WELL SAMPLING METHODOLOGY <br /> ' 2.1 Groundwater Elevations <br /> ' Prior to obtaining depths to groundwater measurements the wells were checked for the presence <br /> of free product using an interface probe Depths to groundwater measurements were made using <br /> an electric water level indicator The depths were measured from the tops of the surveyed well <br /> ' casings Groundwater level data collected to date from the site are presented in Table 1, and a <br /> copy of the field notes is included in Appendix A <br /> • <br />
