1.0 INTRODUCTION 650 Management Corporation (Client) has retained The Park Corporation (Park) to perform quarterly groundwater monitoring at the former Diamond Lumber site located at 151 South Main Street, Manteca, California The location of the site and the various well locations, are shown on Figures 1 and 2 The work performed and described in this report has been mandated by the lead agency, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division (County), and was performed in accordance with the workplan dated May 24, 1994 and supplemented January 13, 1995, which was approved by the County I1.1 Scope of Work Specific tasks completed by Park during the groundwater monitoring program included the following • Locate and measure depths to groundwater in all the wells, • Purge a nurumum of three well volumes of groundwater from each of the wells (BEI-MWI, BEI-MW2, BEI-MW3, SRK-MW1, SRK-MW2, SRK-MW3, MW-7, 1 and MW-8) until pH, temperature and electrical conductivity values were within 10 percent, • Collect groundwater samples from all existing wells, • Analyze water samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH G) and 1 benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), using EPA Methods 8015 Modified and 602,respectively, and 1 Prepare this "Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report" (QMR) for presentation to the County ' The County was notified that the sampling date was December 19, 1996 Ms Margaret Lagorio from the County was present to observe the sampling 2.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL SAMPLING METHODOLOGY 2.1 Groundwater Elevations ' Prior to obtaining depths to groundwater measurements, the wells were checked for the presence of free product using an interface probe Depths to groundwater measurements were made using an electric water level indicator The depths were measured from the tops of the surveyed well casings Groundwater level data collected to date from the site are presented in Table 1, and a copy of the field notes is included in Appendix A • i
