' THIRD QUARTER 1996
. GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
FORMER DIAMOND LUMBER - MANTECA
OCTOBER, 1996
' 3.2 Groundwater Conditions
The depths to groundwater measured on September 24, 1996 ranged between 18 71 and 19 24-
feet below ground surface (bgs) The elevations of the groundwater ranged from 14 31 to 14 59-
feet above mean sea level (MSL) The direction of the groundwater flow was calculated using the
BEI wells and SRK wells., separately This was done because the wells are perforated at slightly
' different depths and their respective water Ievels appear to reflect the hydrologic conditions in
two somewhat different water bearing zones The groundwater direction of flow and gradients
for the two well groups are in the northeasterly direction at a gradient of 0 0021-feet/feet(ft/ft)
The two well clusters continue to show slight differences in groundwater elevations when
compared to each other Incorporating the new wells into the groundwater flow measurements,
groundwater flow appears to be 1n a more northwesterly direction at a gradient of 0 0022-ft/ft
' The groundwater gradients are presented on Figure 4
1
r
•
' 3
