WELL CONSTRUCTION REPORT AND QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT <br /> FORMER DIAMOND LUMBER- MANTECA <br /> AUGUST, 1996 <br /> The samples were labeled with the date, time and identifying well number, then placed into a <br /> cooler at 4° C, and then transported to the laboratories under continuous chain-of-custody (COC) <br /> documentation <br /> 3.7.3 Soil Sampling <br /> Soil samples were collected at 5-foot intervals to approximately 25-feet below ground surface <br /> (bgs) in each soil boring Samples were collected through the auger in three, 6-inch long brass <br /> sleeves inside a 2-inch diameter split-spoon sampler The sampler was driven ahead of the auger <br /> by a 140-pound hammer allowed to free-fall 30-mches The brass sleeves and sampler were <br /> washed with an Alconox solution and rinsed with deionxzed water prior to each use <br /> One brass sleeve containing soil from each interval was capped, sealed, labeled with the date, time <br /> and identifying well number, stored in a cooler at 4° Centigrade or less, and transported to a state <br />' certified laboratory under completed COC documentation Another brass sleeve was used for <br /> hthologic description All field data regarding lithology,recovery and blow counts was recorded <br /> on the boring logs <br /> 3.8 Chemical Analyses <br /> 3.8.1 Groundwater Analyses <br /> Groundwater samples collected following the well development and quarterly monitoring event <br />' were analyzed by Sparger Laboratories (Sparger), a state certified laboratory, in accordance with <br /> state guidelines and EPA protocol <br />' Development samples were analyzed for TPH G and BTEX, and total lead using EPA Methods <br /> 8015 Modified, 8020 and 7421,respectively The quarterly monitoring samples were analyzed <br /> for TPH G and BTEX <br /> 3.8.2 Soil Analyses <br /> Soil samples were analyzed by Sparger in accordance with state guidelines and EPA protocol <br /> Three samples from each soil boring were selectively analyzed for TPH G and BTEX, using EPA <br />' Methods 8015 Modified and 8020,respectively <br /> 3.9 Survey <br /> tThe new well elevations surveyed by Park on April 9, 1996 are summarized in Table 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 4 <br />
