' Diamond Lumber Manteca Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Page 1 <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> Steffen Robertson and Kirsten (US ) Inc , (SRK) has been retained by the 650 Management <br /> Corporation (current management of Diamond Lumber, Inc) to perform the quarterly groundwater <br /> monitoring of three monitoring wells installed by SRK and three monitoring wells installed by Blymyer <br /> Engineers Inc (BEI), at the Diamond Lumber facility located at 151 South Main Street, Manteca, <br /> California The Scope of Work includes sampling six groundwater monitoring wells to investigate the <br /> potential for groundwater contaminant migration from an underground storage tank location from <br /> which a tank or tanks were removed in 1985 Three groundwater monitoring wells were installed by <br /> SRK in November, 1991, under the direct guidance of Ms Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS, San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) Specific <br /> information regarding subsurface soil conditions and monitoring well construction details is presented <br /> in SRK's Phase II Environmental Audit Report for this site dated December 1991 The original three <br /> groundwater monitoring wells were installed by BEI on November 15, 1989 in an area near the <br /> presumed UST location A copy of the BEI report is included as an appendix in SRK's Phase II <br /> Environmental Audit Report (December 1991) <br /> This report addresses work activities completed pleted on February 5, 1993, and represents the fourth <br /> monitoring event at this facility The quarterly groundwater sampling activities were performed by fully <br /> qualified SRK professionals under the technical guidance and direct supervision of Rob D Gwilym, <br /> an Environmental Geoscientist and registered Environmental Professional(NAEP 1792)also registered <br /> as an Environmental Geoscientist and registered as an Environmental Assessor in California (0035), <br /> and certified by the American Institute of Professional Geologists (4529) Geologic and hydrogeologic <br /> aspects were completed under supervision and guidance of Greg W Knell, California Registered <br /> Geologist 4692 <br /> I � <br /> 0,;j- <br /> GREGORYW K E , Gl 'V4 Ty <br /> CP 0 4692 <br /> �@ E <br /> OF cA��F°�� � No 00325 <br /> 1Y <br /> 20 SCOPE OF SERVICES '�d <br /> �`Of CA11,0 <br /> vVV <br /> The scope of work for the Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring includes <br /> • Measuring the static water level relative to the top of casing <br /> • Purging and sampling the wells according to PHS/EHD guidelines <br /> • Shipping the groundwater samples under correct chain-of-custody procedures to a California <br /> licensed laboratory for analyses <br /> • Reporting the analytical results and supplying comparisons between these results and those <br /> from earlier monitoring events <br /> uw.-1.ai=r— Steffen Robertson and Kirsten <br />
