ATC Associates,Inc Project No 99975 7501 <br /> ' GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> AND REMEDIATION STATUS REPORT -NO. 3 <br /> ' Second and Third Quarters 1998 <br /> 151 South Main Street <br /> ' Manteca, California <br /> December 10, 1998 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report has been prepared on behalf of Value Reclamation Corporation by ATC Associates, <br /> Inc (ATC) ATC, having acquired the assets of On-Site Technologies, Inc (OST) in July <br /> 1998, has assumed all of OST's responsibilities regarding monitoring and remediation of this <br /> ' site <br /> The purpose of this report is to fulfill quarterly monitoring requirements by the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services(SJCPHS),to maintain a groundwater monitoring history for the <br /> site and to present data addressing the status and effectiveness of the soil and groundwater <br /> remediation program implemented at the site Included in this report are the results of two <br /> ' monitoring periods performed in April and August 1998 Section 2 0 presents the groundwater <br /> sampling procedures Section 3 0 presents the analytical results and water level measurements <br /> for this monitoring period, and Section 4 0 addresses the remediation program <br /> ' 2.0 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> ' The locations of the groundwater monitoring wells and other relevant features are shown on <br /> Figure 2 Table 1 summarizes the construction details for all monitoring and co-extraction wells <br /> related to the site investigation <br /> Following groundwater level measurements,groundwater samples were collected on April 4 and <br /> ' August 25, 1998 The following protocol was used in obtaining groundwater samples <br /> • Before purging, water levels were measured with an electronic interface tape capable of <br /> ' measuring the Stalk, w itcr lcvel dill hydru,.drbun product/Water interfdce in one immersion <br /> Before sampling, the wells were purged to replace stagnant water in the well with fresh <br /> aquifer water The wells were purged using either an air diaphragm or submersible pump <br /> All wells were purged until dry or until four well-volumes of groundwater were removed <br /> The purged water was monitored for temperature, pH and conductivity Purging was <br /> considered complete when these parameters had stabilized When possible,the wells were <br /> Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation Status Report Page 1 <br /> 1 <br />
