The purpose of this
addendum is to provide additional information on the proposed monitoring wells.
MONITORING WELLS
SECOR proposes to install two monitoring wells (MW-9 and MW-10) to further evaluate the
lateral extent'of petroleum hydrocarbon in soil and groundwater east and west of the site.
The locations of the proposed monitoring wells are shown on Figure 3. Monitoring well
MW-9 will be installed east of the site at the Barnwood Restaurant and Deli located at 338
East Main Street, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 261-150-53. Monitoring well MW-10 will
be installed west of the site at the Ripon Auto Center located at 212 Main Street, APN .259-
390-17. Due to accessibility and safety issues in Cal Trans and Union Pacific right-of-ways
this is the closest feasible location west of the site.
PERMITTING
Access agreements will be obtained from the property owners prior to commencing field
operations. If access agreements cannot be obtained, the monitoring wells will be installed
in public right-of-ways (MW-9 ALT and MW-10 ALT) and encroachment permits will be
obtained from the City of Ripon and/or Cal Trans.
