ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> FIELD AND LABORATORY PROCEDURES <br /> Laboratory Procedures for Soil and Groundwater Samples <br /> Selected soil and groundwater samples will be submitted under chain-of-custody <br /> documentation to a California State certified laboratory and analyzed for the presence of <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline (TPHg) and methanol by EPA Method .8015, <br /> benzene, toluene,. ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), MtBE, tertiary butyl alcohol <br /> (TBA), di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (EtBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether <br /> (TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) by EPA 8260. <br /> Soil Cuttings, Rinsate Water, and Well Development Water <br /> Soil cuttings generated during drilling operations will be temporarily stored onsite and <br /> covered with plastic sheeting pending characterization and disposal. Soil cuttings will be <br /> removed by Chevron's disposal contractor to an appropriate disposal facility. Water <br /> generated during steam cleaning will be temporarily stored in DOT-approved 55-gallon <br /> drums pending transport by Chevron's disposal contractor to an appropriate disposal or <br /> treatment facility. Soil cuttings and rinsate water drums.will be temporarily stored onsite for <br /> approximately 4 to 8 weeks. <br /> �f <br />
