This work plan was approved by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (County) as indicated in their letter dated October 16, <br /> 2003 (Attachment 1). <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is an active service station located at 334 East Main Street in Ripon, California <br /> �- (Figure 1). Current site facilities include three 12,000-gallon gasoline Underground storage <br /> tanks (USTs), two dispenser islands under a common canopy, and a station building <br /> containing two hydraulic hoists (Figure 2). City of Ripon municipal supply well #7 is located <br /> LM approximately 1,500 feet east of the site. Two domestic supply wells are located <br /> approximately 1,500 feet north and 1,900 feet northwest of the site. No domestic or <br /> municipal supply wells have been identified within 2,000 feet west or south of the site. <br /> Historically the groundwater flow direction has varied. During the recent quarterly sampling <br /> event, first quarter 2005 (1Q2005), depth to groundwater across the site ranged 29.71 to <br /> 33.13 feet bgs. The groundwater flow during the 1Q2005 was reported to the northwest at <br /> an approximate gradient of 0.001 to 0.007et et per foot (ft/ft). During the fourth quarter of f't <br /> 2004 groundwater flow was reported to �kte- at an approxi ate radient of 0.001 to <br /> 0.007 ft/ft.
