• <br /> SITE HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> A OVERVIEW <br /> This safety plan covers the work to be performed at Chevron Service Station <br /> 9-1452 located at 334 E Main Street, Ripon, California The scope of work <br /> for this investigation includes the drilling and installation of four soil borings <br /> and four groundwater monitoring wells at the locations shown on Figure 1 <br /> The subject site is an operating Chevron service station (currently under re- <br /> construction) and is located at 334 East Main Street, in Ripon, San Joaquin <br /> County, Califanua The site was ongmally constructed in June of 1969 Site <br /> topography is relatively flat Site elevation is approximately 70 feet above <br /> . mean sea level (MSL) Land use in the site vicinity is agricultural The nearest <br /> surface water in relation to the site is the Staruslaus River located <br /> approximately 2,000 feet to the east of the site(Figure 1) <br /> Chemicals that may be encountered during field work include total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline (TPH-g), total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> calculated as diesel (TPH-d) and, benzene, toluene, ethyl-benzene, and xylene <br /> (BTEX compounds) <br /> 2.0 PROJECT SAFETY AUTHORITY <br /> A ON-SITE PROJECT SAFETY <br /> Personnel responsible for the project safety are <br /> Brett Hunter Engineer <br /> Chevron U S A <br /> Products Company <br /> Carol Motosicky Staff Geologist <br /> Project Safety Officer <br /> 3201591A/SSP DOC 1 November 9, 1995 <br />
