The site is located at the
southeast corner of the intersection of North Main Street and
Alameda Street in Manteca, California, as depicted on the Site
?' Vicinity Map (Plate P-1) . The approximate configuration of the
t' station facilities, including three underground product-storage
tanks, is depicted on the Generalized Site Plan (Plate P-2) .
Previous work at the site includes an initial Subsurface
Environmental Investigation (Applied GeoSystems, Report No.
86102-1, December 16, 1936) in response to a failed
leak test of a 10,000-gallon _ precision
investigation, three 4-inch-diameter grostorage tank. The results ofathat
investigation indicated that .soil in the vicinity of the tank
cavity and ground water underlying the site had been affected by
gasoline contamination. Subsequent to that investigation,
Applied GeoSystems installed four vapor-extraction wells (VW-4
through VW-7
g } in the tank._cavity_backf'il-1---(Applied--Geosyst--
-- --- -
- ---
- __- -- - atter-Report No. ---.86102-3, October 13, 1988) : The i_cations of
r " the ground-water monitoring wells and vapor-extraction
} shown on Plate P-2: walla are
At the request of Beacon, Applied.
