Main
Manteca, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division has reviewed the "Quarterly Report" dated December 6,
1991, prepared by WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc. for the
above site.
Monitoring wells two and seven are evidencing low levels of
groundwater contamination. These wells have evidenced
groundwater contamination in the past and it was stated in the
May 29, 1991 report that contaminated soils were left in place in
the south edge of the previous excavation which is the location
of these wells. The Ultramar station south of this site did not
detect any groundwater contamination in their March or June 1991
sampling. Therefore, it should not be assumed that the source of
contamination is from an off-site source. Quarterly sampling of
the monitoring wells should continue at this site.
In the next quarterly report provide the survey information from
Nolte and Associates to ensure the same bench mark was used for
resurveying of monitoring wells five, six, and seven.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS,
at (209) 468-3449.
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health Of icer
E-aurie A.
