I \
' Royal Oak Savings & Loan
i510 North Main Street, Manteca, CA
I
Quarterly Ground Water Sampling Report
Site Code X2393
1VARRA TI VE
On January 17, 1992, WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc , in conjunction with
McCain Environmental Services, Inc , conducted field measurements, well pumping,
and ground water sampling on six (6) ground water monitoring wells located at this
site
Ground water elevations were taken from all six (6) wells prior to primping (Table 1)
Each well was evacuated by means of a steam-cleaned, stainless steel bladder--type
pump At least three (3) well volumes were pumped from each well During the three
(3) volume pump down each well, samples were collected to measure the field pH and
electrical conductivity Once stability was achie,ed and a minimum of thre.- (3) well
volumes were removed, the samples were collected The samples weie then labeled and
placed in an ice chest cooled with blue ice and crushed ice
The samples were then logged on a Chain of Custody and transported to GeoAnalytical
Laboratories, a State certified laboratory in Modesto, California The analysis reques-
ted for the six (6) water samples was EPA method 602 for purgeable aiomatic hydro-
carbons and method 50301LUFT for total petroleum hydrocarbons - gasoline The
analytes and concentrations detected are listed in Table 2 of this report
The ground water elevations noted in this quarter's measurements are referenced on the
ground water chart in Table 1 of this report
Summary of Analytical Findings
Monitoring Wells 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, at this site, were "none detected" for 602
rcompounds and gasoline The sample taken from MW-2 analyzed positive for Benzene
■ and Total Xylenes A summary of the analytical data for these wells is listed in Table
I2
A final note on activities at this is regarding Well #4 Following this sampling round,
I the paving contractor requested that we lower the steel casing, and the well, so he
could make his final paving run We have done this and we do not intend to re-survey
. the Well, as we can obtain ground water gradient information from the remaining
wells We believe this would be an unnecessary expense to our client, at this time
