One vapor sample will be collected at the beginning of the test and one vapor
sample will be collected at the end of the test. Also, an effluent vapor sample will be collected to
determine removal efficiency of the activated carbon.
Long Term Vapor Extraction Test
After the short term VETS are completed, one long term VET will be performed on the vapor well
exhibiting the highest petroleum hydrocarbon impact during drilling activities, and the test will last
six to eight hours. This test will be performed to collect additional data to assist in determining the
effective radius of influence, and to determine the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations extracted
from this well. The same parameters will be monitored as in the short tetra VETs.
Two influent vapor samples will be collected from the vapor well for laboratory analysis TPHg,
BTEX MTBE, ETBE, DIPE, TBA, TAME, 1,2-DCA, and EDB utilizing EPA Method TO14. One
vapor sample will be collected at the beginning of the test and one vapor sample will be collected at
the end of the test. Also, an effluent vapor sample will be collected to determine the removal
efficiency of the activated carbon.
Summary Report Preparation
i
Upon completion of the drilling activities and pilot testing, a comprehensive report will be prepared
to summarize field activities and evaluate results. The summary report will include a site map and
analytical data presented in tabular form. A radius of influence for vapor extraction will be
presented based on the information obtained during the pilot test. The summary report will be
prepared in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board and SJCEHD
reporting guidelines.
I
Jamar service Station 6
