The soil above 20 feet had background levels of hydrocarbon
vapors.
The analysis of the soil samples obtained from the well borings
for MW-4, below 20 feet, had detectable concentrations of TPHG,
MTBE or BTEX.
The soil samples taken from the MW-5 boring from 30 feet below
grade to 70 feet of drilling contained No detectable pxyti.'
concentrations of TPHG, Benzene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene or MTBE. ' 1 , n
The concentrations of TPHG, TPHD and BTEX in the groundwater
samples from the five wells require further investigation.
However, the results obtained in the first sampling of newly
constructed wells may not be representative. JPCA recommends
that approximately three months to four months or about the
middle of December 2000, the wells be purged and pumped before
sampling. Prior to the purging and purging water depth
measurements should be taken for gradient calculations.
This report has been prepared specifically for Jay McIlrath with
specific application to a hazardous waste investigation.
