A
Rational Pollutant Discharge Elimination system (NPDES ) general
. per-mit is required.
SCOPE OF WQRiC
ask
JPCA will design a wet Carbon Absorption System (WCAS ) for the
removal of TPHG, BTEX and MTBE from the groundwater extracted
from the extraction well identified earlier in this proposal on
the subject property.
'JPCA will request a NPDES permit from the Central Valley Regional
water Quality Control Board for. the effluent from the WCAS which
will comply with the regulatory programs now in effect.
Task Z:1
JPCA will design a Vapor Carbon Absorption System [UCAS) for the
removal of TPHG, 13T8X and MTBE from the vapor extracted from the
Vapor Extraction Well identified earlier in this proposal on the
subject property.
Task Z-4
JPCA will request an air discharge permit from the Local Air
Quality. Control Board for the effluent from the UCAS which will
comply with the regulatory programs now in effect .
Task 2_5 .
Once the wet Carbon Absorption System (WCAS) is installed
effluent samples will be collected every other day for a two week
period. The once a week for a period of two weeks and monthly
for two months and then quarterly. This collection and testing
kogram is subject to change if the NPDES Permit requires a
different protocol ,
The effluent water samples collected will be analyzed for Total
Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPHD) , Total Petroleum
