t <br /> Task 9 <br /> A well water sample will be collected from the nearest down <br /> gradient well, Provided that the owner of the down gradient well <br /> allow a John P. Cummings or his agent to collect such a sample. <br /> Permission for JFCA to take such a sample will be in writing and <br /> signed by the land owner or his designated owner. <br /> A clean dedicated bailer will be used to obtain the sample, then <br /> the samples will be placed in four 40 ml VOAs with Teflon septa <br /> and one liter glass sampling bottle, labeled, held in a cooled (4 <br /> Degrees C) ice chest and transported to a State Certified <br /> Laboratory, under COC documentation, for analyses. <br /> The groundwater sample collected will be analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPHD) , Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) , Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene <br /> and Xylene (BTEX)- via- EPA-protocol-=.8015 Modified: -oxygenates glia a <br /> EPA protocol 8260 at a California State Certified Laboratory. <br /> Task 10 <br /> Once the Carbon Absorption System (CAS) is installed effluent <br /> samples will be collected every other day for a two week period. <br /> The once a week for a period of two weeks and monthly for two <br /> months and then quarterly. This collection and testing program <br /> is subject to change if the NPDES Permit requires a different <br /> protocol . <br /> The effluent water samples collected will be analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPHD) , Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) , Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene <br /> and Xylene (BTEX) via EPA protocol 8015 Modified: Oxygenates via <br /> EPA protocol 8260 at a California State Certified Laboratory. <br /> Task 13- <br /> A <br /> 1A report will be prepared to document the results of the <br /> investigation and the laboratory analyses of the samples. The <br /> report -will - include a summary of the field work, boring logs, COC <br /> documentation, certified analytical results, the results of the <br /> CAS operation, conclusions and recommendations . Two copies of <br /> the report will be submitted to the client and one to the SJC- <br /> PHS-EHD as required by the drilling permit. <br /> ESTIMATED COSTS and SCHEDULE <br /> The costs for this proposed work plan will be submitted under <br /> separate cover, with our standard agreement for the proposed work <br /> plan. The costs include Professional fees, report preparation, <br /> driller charges, travel, per diem, equipment rental and chemical <br /> analyses. <br /> 4 <br />
