Former Beacon StationYo.12474 May 13, 2014
Stockton California Well Destruction Report
Department of Health Services-certified (FLAP No. 08263CA) analytical laboratory located
in Davis, California. Solid waste samples were analyzed for: total petroleum hydrocarbons
as gasoline (TPHg); the volatile aromatic compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,
xylenes (BTEX) by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8260B, and for total
lead by EPA Method 6010B. On 31 March 2014, Belshire transported the non-hazardous
solid waste from the Site. On 1 April 2014, the solid waste was disposed to Forward
Landfill (Class II) in Manteca, California. Liquid waste was not generated during the well
destruction operations. The Kiff analytical report and the non-hazardous waste manifests
are enclosed.
AWA documented the destruction of each well via a Department of Water Resources
(DWR) form 188 Well Completion Report. Horizon submitted the DWR reports to the
North Central Regional district office.
Horizon has properly destroyed all Site monitoring and remediation wells, has disposed all
investigation-derived waste from the Site, and has decommissioned all remediation
equipment and installations. On the basis of completed regulatory Site closure activities,
Horizon recommends issuance of a No Further Action Required letter for the Site. Contact
Horizon at 916-939-2170 if you require any additional information.
Sincerely, ML
HORIZON E ONMENTAL INC.
.
.Rexford Smith, P.G.
