.a <br /> S,0 SITE CONATIONS <br /> 3.1 Geology/Hydrogeology ge.Gt subsurface materials in this <br /> The site is located In northern part of the San Joaquin Valley, The hdrill logs (Appendix <br /> B), materials <br /> part of the valley consist of Quaternary alluvium. As shown in thee d <br /> encountered in the borings at the site are domtnantly clays,with lenses Of silly sand. <br /> Groundwater was not encountered while drilling the three borings,therefore no monitoring wells were <br /> installed. <br /> The nearest surface drainage is the Mormon Slough.0.4 nlua south of the site. It drains west toward <br /> the San Joaquin River. <br /> 3.2 Soil Sample Analytical Results le SB-21,collected at a depth <br /> TPH-G was detected in only one of the nine soil samples anal mill on (ppm) TPN-G. Benzene was <br /> of 45.5 feet below grade, was found to contain 6.3 parts p <br /> er collected at a depth of 35.5 feet, at a concentration of 0.022 ppm• <br /> detected only in sample S3-3G, ion limits in six of the <br /> Toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were found at levels near the method detect <br /> nal ed soil samples. The soil sample analytical results are summarized in Table 4.
