w Former Beacon Station No 12474 June 7, 2005 <br /> Stockton,California Results of Additional Groundwater Assessment <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION, LAND AND WATER USE <br /> The site is an operating gasoline station located on the southwestern corner of the <br /> intersection of East Main Street and Broadway Avenue in Stockton, California Site <br /> facilities include a station building, two gasoline product dispenser islands located toward <br /> the northern portion, and three gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) located in the <br /> northeastern portion of the site Locations of these and other pertinent site features are <br /> shown on the Site Plan (Figure 2) <br /> I <br /> The land use in the vicinity of the site is intended mostly for a mixed use of commercial and <br /> residential property The water supply in the vicinity of the site is conveyed by underground <br /> piping to commercial and residential customers by the California Water Service <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> • Previous environmental work at the site was performed by Horizon and others The <br /> previous work was summarized by Horizon in the Problem Assessment Report (PAR) dated <br /> March 18, 2002 <br /> Horizon proposed the installation of five monitoring wells (MW-13 through MW-17) in <br /> February 26, 2003 based on the stratigraphic evaluation and analytical results of soil and <br /> groundwater samples collected during a cone-penetrometer (CPT) investigation conducted in <br /> October 8, 2002 The SJCEHD requested additional stratigraphic and analytical data before <br /> siting monitoring wells MW-15 and MW-16 This additional stratigraphic investigation was <br /> conducted in August 2003 and included advancement of CPT borings CPT-2 and CPT-3, <br /> two hydropunch soil borings B-9 and B-10, and soil boring B-11 Analytical results of soil <br /> and hydropunch groundwater samples are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, respectively <br /> Groundwater TPHg and DCA concentrations detected in hydropunch samples from borings <br /> B-9 and B-10 are shown on the geologic cross sections A-A' and B-B' shown on Figures 3 <br /> • and 4 The additional groundwater investigation was documented and final monitoring well <br /> Addtn1GWassmnt <br /> Project No 1474 15 2 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br />
