(Horizon) has prepared this Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report for the first quarter 2000 monitoring at the subject site (Figure 1). There are currently 12 groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-12), and seven vapor extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-7) associated with this site. All of the wells are located on site, except for wells MW-4 and MW-5, which are located in nearby street right-of-ways (Figure 2). Monitoring well MW-4 located in the East Main Street right-of-way was not ! accessible for groundwater monitoring because the vault box was paved over. Groundwater Monitoring Groundwater monitoring activities were conducted by Horizon on March 3, 2000. Monitoring activities included measurement of static groundwater level, purging groundwater from the wells, collection of groundwater samples, and preparation and delivery of the samples to the analytical laboratory. Horizon Field Methods and Procedures are presented as Attachment A to this report. The depth to groundwater was measured to the nearest 0.01 foot from the top-of-casing (TOC) in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3, MW-5 through MW-12, vapor well VW- 1 and air-sparge well AS-1. Depth-to-groundwater measurements were-subtracted from the surveyed TOC elevations (reported by previous consultants) to calculate groundwater elevations. Field groundwater level data are included on Horizon Monitoring Well Data sheets (Attachment B) and are summarized in Table 1. Field groundwater monitoring well purge data are included on Horizon Monitoring Well Data sheets. The physical parameters conductivity, pH and temperature were monitored with field instrumentation during the purging process.
