4
Second Quarter 1998 Ground Water Monitoring Report,Beacon 11474
3440 East Main Avenue.Stockton,California
Page 2
GROUND WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSES
Ground water samples were collected from five monitoring wells. Monitoring wells MW-1 through
MW-3 were not sampled because ground water levels were above the top of the screened interval
in these monitoring wells;monitoring well MW-4 could not be accessed. All samples were analyzed
for concentrations of:
• TPH, as gasoline, by modified EPA Method 8015.
• BTEX by EPA Method 602.
• MTBE by EPA Method 602.
Analytical results collected since December 1993 are summarized in Table 2. Figure 3 illustrates
the inferred distribution of benzene in ground water based on the current data. The laboratory report
and chain-of-custody form for the current sampling event are contained in Attachment C. Benzene
was not present at detectable concentrations in ground water samples collected from monitoring
wells MW-5, MW-7, and MW-9. Benzene concentrations increased in the sample collected from
monitoring well MW-8,and remained unchanged in the sample collected from monitoring well MW-
6 compared to prior sampling.
A copy of this quarterly monitoring report should be forwarded to:
Mr. Michael Infurna
Environmental Health Division
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Mr. Gordon Boggs
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road, Suite A
Sacramento, California 95827-3098
EI Dorado Environmental, Inc.
