This well will be installed to delineate hydrocarbons in
groundwater to the northwest.
Replace Task 2 with the following:
Task 2.1: Drill an 8-inch diameter soil boring (B-7) at the location shown on Figure 2.
Based on historical groundwater levels quoted by the SJC PHS/EHD, soil-
boring B-7 will be drilled to an approximate depth of 105 feet below surface
grade (bsg) to investigate the soil and groundwater at the historical low
groundwater level. In additional to collecting and subjectively analyzing soil
samples using an organic vapor meter (OVM) at five-foot depth intervals,
continuous soil samples will be collected from approximately 90 feet below
surface grade to the total depth with a split-spoon sampler or core barrel, while
discreet groundwater samples will be collected at selected depths with a
HydroPuncO sampler. The two deepest soil samples collected at 5-foot
intervals and other selected soil and groundwater samples from this boring will
be sent to the laboratory on expedited turnaround.
5011 Golden Foothill Parkway,Sulte 7 • EI Dorado Hills,CA 95762 • (916)939-2170 .
