Main <br /> Manteca, CA 95336 <br /> Please be advised that this office has reviewed the groundwater <br /> contamination file for the above referenced site. Three monitoring <br /> wells were installed and sampled in March, 1987 . Benzene (13 . 0 <br /> parts per billion) was detected in monitoring well #2 . <br /> To determine the extent of contamination, a monitoring well should <br /> be installed downgradient of the removed pump island location. <br /> Once this well is installed, all four monitoring wells should be <br /> sampled quarterly. <br /> A work plan and permit applications (enclosed) should be submitted <br /> to this office by November 20, 1990. <br /> A report including the results from the first sampling event should <br /> be submitted by January 1, 1990 to this office and to the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) . <br /> If you have any questions, please call Eleanor Ratliff, REHS, of my <br /> staff at (209) 468-3454 . <br /> Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H. <br /> ealth Officer <br /> IM <br /> Laurie A.
