Main St, Manteca, Califorma December 22,1995 Page 9 • IV, Extenj !2f Release to—Soil and Groul3ilwater Tank Removal On February 25, 1987, two 10,000 gallon steel tanks were removed by California Petroleum Equipment from the subject site. Six soil samples were collected by IQeinfelder during tank removal, four from under the tanks and two under the pump island. The samples were analyzed for TPH-g, BTX and total lead Some samples had detectable amounts of these compounds, as shown below. Sample I.D. The samples were non-detect for those compounds. • Soil pile samples collected on February 26, 1987 showed no TPH-g, but had 13 and 5.3 ppm of C9 - C36 compounds, and one sample had 10 ppb toluene and 1,720 ppb xylenes. Overexcavation Sampling The original tank pit was expanded to the northwest under the former location of the gasoline pumps, reaching a depth of fifteen feet BGS Three samples were obtained from the extended area.
